Privacy Policy
Straight talk about rescue data, tracking, and archives.
Effective: May 6, 2026 · Last updated: May 6, 2026
Rescue handles seller CSVs, old image URLs, private archives, billing, logs, and affiliate attribution. This policy explains the data boundaries in plain language.
1. Who we are
SpareDollar Rescue is built and operated by Tomas and Kate Salas as part of SpareDollar. This policy applies to rescue.sparedollar.io, sparedollar.io, sparedollar.co, related subdomains, Rescue tools, account flows, admin/support workflows, affiliate links, and connected services we control.
Questions or privacy requests go to hello@sparedollar.io.
2. What we collect
When you use Rescue, we collect the information needed to estimate, process, preserve, bill, secure, support, and improve your image backup workflow.
- Account data such as email address, sign-in session, user ID, role, and account settings.
- CSV files you upload, including listing data, product identifiers, variation data, image URLs, metadata columns, and filenames.
- Import and archive data such as product counts, image counts, saved images, failed images, storage keys, blob URLs, progress, retries, and timestamps.
- Preview/sample images copied during free estimate flows.
- Billing data from Stripe, such as customer IDs, subscription IDs, plan, status, billing interval, invoices, and payment events. We do not store full card numbers.
- Device and log data such as IP address, user agent, request paths, timestamps, referrer, approximate location, and error logs.
- Affiliate and marketing data such as UTM parameters, referral codes, Tolt referral IDs, affiliate cookies, and click IDs when present.
- Support data such as emails, screenshots, messages, issue context, and troubleshooting notes.
3. Why we use it
- To scan CSVs and estimate how many products and images are present.
- To copy reachable image files into a private archive when you ask us to.
- To show progress, errors, retries, exports, product-browser views, and rescue status.
- To manage signup, billing, subscription limits, lapsed-account handling, and account linking with SpareDollar.
- To attribute affiliate or referral traffic and prevent referral abuse.
- To prevent abuse, troubleshoot imports, improve reliability, and secure the service.
- To comply with legal, tax, accounting, payment, dispute, and security obligations.
4. Your CSVs, images, and archives
Your uploaded CSVs, listing data, image URLs, and rescued images are treated as private seller data. We do not sell them to data brokers, use them for third-party advertising, or share them with affiliates for their own use.
Rescue is designed to preserve image files while original sources may still be reachable. We cannot guarantee that every original URL will remain available or that every image can be recovered.
The archive is private by default. Rescue is not intended to become a public CDN for your listings.
5. Cookies and attribution
Rescue uses first-party cookies, session tokens, and similar technologies so you can sign in, keep your account secure, return to your dashboard, and use product features.
If you arrive through an affiliate or partner link, we may store referral information, including a Tolt referral value or a first-party referral cookie, so the correct partner can receive credit if you become a customer.
- Blocking cookies may break sign-in, checkout, referral attribution, or dashboard features.
- Affiliate attribution does not give affiliates access to your account, billing details, CSVs, images, marketplace data, or support messages.
6. Service providers
We use third-party providers to run Rescue. They process data only as needed to provide services to us, subject to their own terms and privacy policies.
- Vercel or similar hosting providers for the application, edge delivery, deployments, and request logs.
- Neon or another managed PostgreSQL provider for application database storage.
- Cloudflare R2, AWS S3-compatible storage, Vercel Blob, or similar object storage for private image archives, CSVs, exports, and generated files.
- Stripe for checkout, subscriptions, invoices, tax, billing portal, and subscription state.
- Tolt for affiliate tracking, referral attribution, and commission administration.
- Resend or another email provider for sign-in links, transactional email, and service messages.
- Google Fonts for typography on public pages.
- AI/model providers where future product features require listing generation, image analysis, categorization, or related workflows.
7. Sharing and disclosure
We may share data with service providers so they can provide hosting, storage, payments, email, affiliate attribution, support, AI/model processing, and security services. We may share data with connected SpareDollar systems when you link accounts or use cross-product workflows.
We may disclose information if required by law, subpoena, court order, regulator, payment processor, security incident, fraud review, dispute, or to protect rights and safety.
Affiliates may receive limited attribution or commission information through Tolt, but they do not receive private archive files, billing card data, marketplace credentials, or support messages from us.
8. Retention and deletion
We keep account, import, and archive data while your account is active or while needed to provide the service. If a subscription lapses, the app may retain data for a grace period before deletion.
We may delete abandoned anonymous sessions, expired uploads, failed imports, sample previews, malware, abusive files, or data tied to unpaid accounts. We may retain limited records where needed for billing, tax, legal, security, fraud prevention, dispute, backup, or operational reasons.
You can ask us to delete your data by emailing hello@sparedollar.io.
9. Security
We use reasonable safeguards, including TLS in transit, managed infrastructure, provider-side encryption where available, access controls, private storage patterns, and logging for operational/security events. No internet service is perfectly secure. Please protect your login and tell us quickly if something looks wrong.
10. Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, export, restrict, or object to certain processing of your personal information. Email hello@sparedollar.io for access, correction, deletion, or privacy questions.
California residents: we do not knowingly sell personal information for money. We use affiliate attribution and service-provider tools to run the product. If a future law treats any tracking or sharing as an opt-out event, we will provide the required mechanism.
11. International users and children
Rescue is operated from the United States. If you use the service from outside the United States, your data may be processed in the United States or other countries where our providers operate.
Rescue is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe a child provided data to us, contact us and we will delete it where required.
12. Changes and contact
We may update this policy as Rescue, SpareDollar, laws, providers, or data practices change. If the change is material, we will update the date on this page and, when appropriate, notify account holders.
